One of the first steps of teaching reading is to read aloud to your child. Spend some time reading aloud to your children, as well as discussing what you have read. You will soon discover that the benefits reach far beyond developing and strengthening reading skills.
Leave a comment and share what you are currently reading aloud to your child(ren).

Well, we are always reading several things going at the same time. I just finished reading the Money Matters for Kids book by Larry Burkett. We are also reading through The Desire of Ages, and just finished “Whirlwind for The Lord” by Margaret White.
We are currently reading Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories(using the set of books my mother read to me!), and Birds of Texas.
